FAQ'S
Here you will find is a list of questions I am frequently asked about my wedding photography. The answers to these are provided below. If you would like to ask me anything else just get in touch and I'll be glad to assist.

-
How do we book? When you send me your details through my website contact form or social media I will immediately check my diary to see if I am available on your planned wedding day. If I am, Fantastic! All I need to do is to email you an online quotation where you can choose your bespoke package, book and pay your deposit via Credit/Debit card or Bank Transfer.
-
How much is the deposit? My online quote system will guide you through the payment process. The deposit will be £200 and the balance will be due 60 days before your wedding day.
-
Are you insured?Absolutely! You should always check that your suppliers have their own insurance as this is a legal requirement. I am comprehensively covered for public liabilty, indemnity and equipment.
-
What are your wedding photography packages?I offer a series of different full and half day packages. I also include several à la carte options which you are able to add to your selection at the time of booking. To give you an idea of cost, my full day wedding photography packages start at £1295.00 Click here to see a list of sample packages
-
Should we book an engagement / pre wedding shoot?I always recommend that you include this option in your package. The most common worry when booking a wedding photographer is that you will feel uncomfortable in front of the camera on your wedding day. The engagement shoot is an absolutely fantastic, relaxed way of getting to know each other and a wonderful way to help you feeling more comfortable in front of the camera. You can learn more about my engagement sessions here
-
How many photos do we receive? This depends on many factors such as the size of your wedding, the duration of the coverage and whether you have a second photographer booked as part of your package. I will always deliver the maximum amount I am able to!
-
When will we receive our wedding photos? As I limit the number of wedding photography clients I take each year, I am able to treat each wedding as it should be treated. I edit the images myself and I aim to have your fully edited, high resolution images ready for you 4 weeks from your wedding day.
-
Can guests take photographs on the wedding day?Absolutely! This is your choice and I encourage you to try to get as many pictures as you can on one of the best days of your lives. All I ask is that guests do not lean into the aisle to take pictures during the ceremony, and if anyone would like to take pictures during any formal group shots then please could they wait till after I have taken mine. The last thing you want to see are half the people in your photos looking in another direction!
-
Are there any additional travel costs?I include travel within UK mainland up to 100 miles in my quoted prices. Anything over this distance or travel overseas would be charged at cost for travel, time and accomodation. I am based in Carmarthenshire, South Wales and so I am fairly central to this region. Most places within South Wales, Welsh boarder counties, Bristol, and Mid Wales fall within the 100mile travel distance.
-
Who owns the copyright to the images? The copyright is always owned by the photographer. This does not prevent you from sharing your photos with friends or printing them. If you are contacted by any of your wedding suppliers or media publications to use your images commercially the please refer them to me.
-
Do we need to feed you?I would never ask you to have a meal provided for me. If you would like to then that is always a welcome bonus but I always bring a packed lunch and I take a 30 min break while you and your wedding guests are eating.
-
Can we order prints?Of course you can. I offer a multitude of print options for you after the wedding. These can be ordered online directly from your gallery.
-
What equipment do you use?Now there's a good question! At the moment I use Nikon camera bodies (Yes I always carry at least 2) and a selection of pro lenses. I may also need to use some lighting depending on the location and the available light. This is always unobtrusive and portable.
-
What if we have bad weather?Every photographer based in Wales should be prepared for rain! We can embrace the weather and find some creative ways to get some fantastic pictures.
-
What happens if you are unable to make it to our wedding? This has never happened to me yet. I am however part of a wonderful network of wedding photographers who are willing to step in should anything happen to me.
-
Will it just be you attending on the wedding day?I will occasionally bring an assistant with me and you also have the option to book an additional photographer as part of your package. I recommend this option if you have a large wedding party or you are getting ready at several different locations.
-
Will you be posing us for all of the photos? Not at all, I am predominantly a natural and candid style photographer. There will be occasions where I will need to pose groups for family photos, I will also be giving you direction for bride and groom portrait photos when we have some time after the ceremony to go off somewhere away from the guests. I do try to keep posed photos to an absolute minimum but please remember that we are all on 'team good photos' so if I need to ask you to move a hand or tilt a head a few times it'll be worth it!
