Wedding Photography The Cliff Hotel, Gwbert, West Wales - Yvonne & James
Let me start by saying that if you are looking for a wedding venue with a view, then you HAVE to check out The Cliff hotel in Gwbert!
Yvonne and James had to rearrange their original wedding date due to the ongoing restrictions at the time. They contacted me to see if I would be available for their new date and I am so glad that I was!
Arriving at the venue the day before the wedding I was amazed by the stunning scenery at The Cliff Hotel. Gwbert is a wonderful place that really shows off the stunning West Wales coastline in dramatic fashion!
Yvonne and her bridesmaids were an absolute joy to photograph as they started their preparations early on the day of the wedding. There was plenty of laughter and excitement in the room as the finishing touches were made to the hair and makeup.
I felt quite emotional as Yvonne was visibly tearful when her Dad and young Son arrived at the bridal suite to escort her to the ceremony. It was a lovely moment when Dad first laid eyes on his beautiful daughter in her stunning bridal gown.
The proceedings were soon underway, with guests being treated to both a gorgeous ceremony and the amazing views beyond the windows. Yvonne and James looked both nervous and completely happy at the same time!
Once the obligatory trickle of Welsh rain had stopped, we ventured out to the cliff tops for some portraits of the newlyweds. The Gwbert coastline really does lend itself to being photographed, which makes my job an easy one.
Once the food was being prepared and the speeches were underway, the day seemed to absolutely fly! We had laughter and tears during the speeches, followed by amazement at some close-up magic. It didn't seem like very long at all before the DJ announced Yvonne and James onto the dancefloor for their first dance. While it was adorable to see the the new Mr & Mrs Roberts embracing on the dancefloor, the thing that brought a tear to my eyes was seeing Yvonne and her Father have their dance together. You could really see the pride in his eyes and almost got a sense of the little girl and her Dad and the love between them.
Congratulations Mr and Mrs Roberts!
